Pen
and light are my favourite media. The first leaves a “mark” on
paper, the second one on film. Under my pen arise stories I have created,
dreamed of. Around forty books published so far. Many of them are children’s
ones. A movie script, always pictures… A collection of short stories
to come.
Photography does not take me away from writing; on the contrary the camera
extends my vision, my thoughts. Just as I take over the real so as to enter
the imaginary. Hundreds of pictures reveal my desires, my amazements, as well
as beauty; reflections of travelling days, memories in print, stuck in a time
warp, never to forget the frail moment.
Sometimes both get together, and that gives birth to Paris des Anges, published
by Éditions du Félin. A long ramble through the world of the
invisible. There is quite an odd challenge in looking into stone so as to
feel flesh and bone… Seventy black and white pictures and a text, which
tries to put the angel imagery back in history, poetry, and literature.
Venise. Noire de nuit, belle de jour (Venice, From Darkness to Brightness) was the theme of six month-exhibition at ÉCART INTERNATIONAL, in 2005. Thirty colour and black and white pictures were shown. Another way of telling, sharing moments, as intimate as they might seem, with that unique place, as well as presenting a glimpse of beauty.
